Project Focus: Regus 500 King Street West

We're always proud to work with organizations doing something just a little different. Regus is known around the world as the largest provider in flexible workspaces and one of the great things about this company is that it chooses some of the most unique and interesting spaces to build its offices.

Take one of the latest office spaces in Toronto: 500 King West. This beautiful building is a refurbished 19th century former factory that has undergone some pretty major exterior renovations in the recent past. For one, the building's former owner brought the original two-tone brick exterior back to life after it had been painted grey years ago. What a wonderful gift to the King West street scape!

Regus occupies the third floor of the industrial red brick building above a retail unit in King West's booming fashion district. It's convenient for commuting employees being close to public transit services, ferries and the city airport.

Royalty worked with Regus to create a fun and lively atmosphere with exposed beams and brick, bright colours and modern furnishings.

It looks like a perfect spot to collaborate on a big project or have a one-on-one meeting with a client.

This location is now open, but until you get down to see it, check out some of the other Regus office locations we've worked on in the past.

Project Focus: SUBWAY - Toronto Pearson International Airport

The woman ordering above was the first customer at this new location - congrats!

Toronto Pearson International Airport has been stepping up the game lately in terms of offering new and fresh food options for travellers. SUBWAY® Restaurants found great success with its first location in Terminal 1 since opening early last year and decided to add a second location to Terminal 3 recently.

Royalty once again worked with SUBWAY on this project which was considered a highly-sensitive location involving core drilling above an electrical back-up generator station below.

Project Focus: DAVIDsTEA - Roncesvalles Avenue, Toronto

You can't go too far these days without seeing a teal and white DAVIDsTEA sign out of the corner of your eye--the stores are popping up all over the continent and Roncesvalles Avenue in Toronto, Ontario is no exception.

The DAVIDsTEA construction team was pleased with Royalty's completion of the Pearson International Airport location that we were approached once again to complete the 2,000-foot store on Roncesvalles Ave. which included trendy faux brick walls, bright colours and modern furnishings.

Just like the DAVIDsTEA team is passionate about great tasting tea, Royalty is passionate about working with innovative organizations with great vision.

The 4,000 square-foot beautyBOUTIQUE features new fixtures, digital signage, an enhanced fragrance and derm areas and provides customers with a luxurious retail environment complemented by a wide assortment of prestigious brands.

"We worked with Shoppers Drug Mart to build the first phase of this store relocation and we are pleased to have been selected once again to complete the beautyBOUTIQUE™expansion." said Greg Flagler, Vice President, Royalty General Construction and lead project manager on this expansion.

According to the Shopper's Drug Mart press release, the design was inspired by a gift box and the idea of unravelling a ribbon to reveal the present. The ribbon concept can be seen in the elements of the store design including the digital signage wrapped around the boutique and the finishing elements extending over the fixtures to the ceiling. The boutique's design allows customers to feel comfortable browsing in an environment that is modern, sleek and interactive while also catering to their need to complete their shopping quickly.
